Our avocados are picked fresh from the tree and will be handled once when picked and once when packed. They are fresh and not over handled and bruised like supermarket avos. You can taste the difference!

We deliver to everywhere in NZ .

We will pick and pack to order and send on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to avoid fruit sitting in a courier depot over the weekend. In most places delivery will be overnight but it depends on where you are in the country. The South Island may take 2 days. Best time to place your order is on the weekend to get fresh creamy healthy avocados delivered to your door.

The time an avocado takes to ripen depends on how far we are through the season and the weather.
July /August they can take up to 10 days to ripen at room temperature.
Sept/Oct 8 days
Nov/Dec 7 days
Jan/Feb 6 days
Mar/Apr 5 days

These are estimated timeframes and it pays to keep an eye on your avos. The best indication is the darkening colour and softening of the avocado.

A trick to ripen avocados is to store them at room temperature with an apple, kiwifruit, or a banana. These fruits produce ethylene which will cause the avocado to ripen faster. You can also remove the stem to speed up the ripening process. As they get closer to ripening store them in the fridge and remove the day before you need them.
